Treehouse Solling a two-story tower by Baumraum is located in Uslar North Germany. Its clever roof structure was formed using curving sheets of zinc and incorporates a skylight – perfect for stargazing. Designed by Finnish architecture studio Sanaksenaho Arkkitehdit Oy the two-story Villa Musu portrays an almost organic form naturally flowing and blending with the surrounding landscape. Its gently rounded roof has a bean-like configuration when viewed from above.
These hiker’s cabins in The Netherlands are made from sustainable and reused materials and were designed by Kristel Hermans Architectuur for Trek-In. All 9 are situated in hiker’s areas feature comfortable overnight accommodations for all ages and include bathrooms and kitchens for cooking.
The decor inside the home seems to showcase a seamless blend of the vintage the midcentury and the contemporary as each room has a subtle touch of contrasting styles. A small entry leads into the living room that is filled with a couple of cozy sofas in off-white along with a smart blue rug that brings color and playfulness to the setting. The restrained use of color lets the few accent additions and the wall art shine through while the twin windows fill the space with plenty of natural light.

Currently under construction The Quest is a stunning midcentury-esque single-story dwelling designed by Ström Architects for two retired clients. Sited in Swanage UK the cantilevered home is a nod to contemporary modernism.
The ground floor houses a large study along with a family room and a bedroom which open up towards the elegant courtyard. An open plan living area with a kitchen and dining space occupies the first floor while the top level contains the master suite and an additional bedroom.
