Rising above the treetops in El Jonuco Nuevo Leon Mexico Narigua House is comprised of a series of overlapping and cantilevered volumes. Designed by architect David Pedroza Castañeda the home features a rustic and earthy red hue that complements the surrounding landscape.
This million dollar home is nothing like the mundane contemporary residence that is defined by simple straight lines. Look beyond the obvious affluence and you will notice the lovely use of contrasting textures curved walls that drive away any sense of monotony and carefully curated decor that lets the captivating backdrop shine through. Glass wood and stone are used eloquently to shape a luxurious spacious and breezy interior that brings together urbane sophistication and a relaxed beachy vibe.
The dark slate walls create a visual contrast indoors even as decor rugs and accessories usher in bright pops of color in a restrained fashion. The lower level houses the living area along with the family room kitchen and dining space while the bedrooms and bathrooms sit on the top floor.
The immense concrete roof of the single-story Quinta de Lemos guesthouse restaurant and wine showroom snakes across a sprawling Portuguese landscape. Designed by studio Carvalho Araújo the structure is nestled amid rocky formations that helped determine its shape. Covered with paving slabs the roof acts as an extensive viewing platform.
Even though the house adopts a distinct loft-style look modern elements and warm lighting help create a softer more inviting living space that is not a bit too edgy. With wonderful views of the city skyline from the top level and custom decor and accessories the smart conversion creates a clever balance between the past and the future!
